History of MV Hephaestus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The MV Hephaestus<\/strong> ran aground at Qawra Point<\/strong> on February 10, 2018, due to a storm. Although the impact was strong, all seven crew members were unharmed, and the ship was not carrying cargo at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Months later, the vessel was salvaged and towed to the Marsa<\/strong> shipyard, but the structural damage was irreparable. Instead of scrapping it, the decision was made to turn it into an artificial reef<\/strong>, adding to the list of wrecks in Malta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
