If the dives take place on the islands of Gozo and Comino, there is an additional cost for the ferry transfer.

A full diving equipment set has an extra cost of €20 per day (excluding dive computer and torch).

Additional costs:

Dive computer and torch: €5 each.
Nitrox in 15L tanks: €8 per tank.

Diving in Malta means exploring deep blue waters with excellent visibility, pleasant water and air temperatures, no strong currents, and stunning landscapes.

Malta offers wreck diving, caves, canyons, arches, seagrass meadows, and walls that descend into the depths, teeming with marine life and breathtaking scenery.

Most dives in the Maltese archipelago are shore dives, offering easy and convenient access. Boat dives are used for sites like Comino or certain wrecks in Malta.

FAQs About the Adventure Course with DS Divers Malta

The programme includes:

  • Three adventure dives: Choose dives based on your interests, such as wreck exploration, deep diving, underwater navigation, and more.
  • Educational materials: Access to readings and videos covering the theoretical aspects of the selected dives, along with quick quizzes to reinforce learning.
  • Supervised practice: Perform specific exercises under the guidance of a certified instructor, ensuring safety and skill development during the dives.
  • Official certification: Upon completing the course, you will receive a certification allowing you to undertake supervised dives in the chosen specialities.
  • Transport: Transfers from the dive centre to the dive sites.
  • Professional instructor: Personalised assistance from a certified instructor to guide you throughout the course.

Popular dive sites include:

  • The Inland Sea (Gozo): A sheltered lagoon with calm, shallow waters, ideal for beginner divers. Here you can find a wide variety of marine life, including fish, corals, and turtles.
  • The Blue Hole (Gozo): A stunning underwater sinkhole reaching a depth of 50 metres. The Blue Hole is a popular destination for scuba and free divers, offering breathtaking views of the seabed.
  • The P-29 Wreck (Malta): Suitable for intermediate to advanced divers, the P-29 wreck’s depth, currents, and interior darkness require some experience and diving skills.
  • The UM Faroud Wreck (Malta): Once a Libyan oil tanker, the UM Faroud sank in 1988 off the coast of Gozo. Lying at around 50 metres deep, it is Malta’s largest wreck. It is a favourite among experienced divers, offering a challenging yet impressive exploration of this massive industrial wreck.
  • Santa Maria Caves (Comino): A system of underwater caverns with unique geological formations. Popular among seasoned divers, these caves can be challenging to navigate but reward visitors with spectacular views and abundant marine life.

The course typically takes 1–2 days, depending on the student and weather conditions.
