In Malta, you’ll find a wide variety of dive sites for all levels of experience.

Some of the most popular sites include:

  • The Inland Sea (Gozo): A protected lagoon with calm, shallow waters, ideal for beginner divers. A variety of marine life can be found here, including fish, corals, and turtles.
  • The Blue Hole (Gozo): An impressive underwater sinkhole that reaches depths of 50 metres. The Blue Hole is a popular destination for divers and freedivers and offers stunning views of the seabed.
  • The P-29 Wreck (Malta): This wreck is suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The depth of the wreck, currents, and dark interiors require some experience and diving skills.
  • The UM Faroud Wreck (Malta): The UM Faroud was a Libyan tanker that sank in 1988 off the coast of Gozo. The wreck lies at around 50 metres deep and is Malta’s largest wreck. It’s a popular dive site for experienced divers as it can be challenging to navigate due to its size and the darkness of the water. However, it offers divers the opportunity to explore an enormous industrial wreck.
  • St. Mary’s Caves (Comino): A system of underwater caves with unique geological formations. The caves are a popular spot for experienced divers, as they can be a bit challenging to navigate. However, they offer impressive views and the chance to see a variety of marine life.
What is the best month to dive in Malta?
